Following its pedestrianisation, The Square now lies at the hub of the three main shopping streets in Bournemouth Town Centre and is connected to the Sea Front via the Lower Gardens.

The Inter-City Ads Video Screen is positioned outside Debenhams Department Store and the Moon In The Square Pub, facing in the direction of one of the main shopping thoroughfares where stores such as Marks & Spencer, Boots, BHS, and MFI are situated as well as the New Central Library. It is also directly opposite the Obscura Café which is a popular meeting point for al fresco' eating and drinking.
